Bandita Agnihotri
Associate Counsellor
Transactional Analysis Trainee (Ongoing)
Bandita turned to counselling during a challenging period in her life, where she grappled with her identity as an individual. Today, she helps clients reconnect with themselves.
Nine years ago, Bandita chose to quit corporate life and become a stay-at-home mother. This new experience, although rewarding, was overwhelming. Self-doubt and anxiety, coupled with the grief of losing loved ones, pushed her to a breaking point. Therapy became her turning point.
Therapy, for her, was a process of healing and introspection. She traced the origins of her wounds to her gendered upbringing driven by rigid societal norms. Through internal work, she slowly identified and separated herself from the roles that had defined her so far, allowing her to view herself as an individual.
Over time and through conversations, she began to see how many of us are caught in structures defined by society. She realized she wanted to play her part in helping people find their way out of them.
Thus began her career in counselling. During her personal therapy, Transactional Analysis helped her recognise her blind spots. It deepened her connection with herself, and she is determined to bring this joy to her clients. Bandita practices a humanistic approach of unconditional acceptance, respect, and a non-judgmental attitude towards her clients.
She brings the professionalism of the corporate sector, the learner mindset of academics, and a passion for counselling to guide clients on their journey of self-discovery.
