Jalaja Pillai

Jalaja is a trained counsellor from Parivarthan Counselling, Training and Research Centre, Bangalore. She is currently pursuing her Internationalcertification in Transactional Analysis, specialising in counselling.

Sheruns her private practice in therapeutic counselling. She is also associated with:

  • Nightingales, an NGO focussed on elder care where she runs personal development groups for older adults.
  • Astitva, a school for children with special needs, where she provides counselling support for the parents of these children.
  • Live Love Laugh Foundation, where she conducts sensitisation and awareness programs on mental health to school students and teachers.

She has, in the past,worked as a volunteer counsellor with Enable India, where she worked with visually impaired young adults to emotionally support them through their training to take up corporate jobs.She has also been associated with Dream a Dream, an NGO focussed on imparting life skills to children and young adults from under privileged backgrounds

Jalajacomes from a corporate background of over two decades of experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, across Hospitality, Retail and IT industries. She also conducts training programmes in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, Respect at Workplace and Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace.

Jalaja holds a Masters degree in Sociology
